Jackson Birthday #1

Happy Birthday Baby Jackson
You are such a blessing to our family! You bring all of us together and everyone loves you so much!

Jackson:  1 Year old

  • 12 month  Dr. Appointment: Weight: 21.13 pounds 54%  Height: 30 in. 46%   Head: 19 in. 94%
  • He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth...obviously (button battery) but it hasn't gotten any better! It keeps us constantly on our toes making sure everything is picked up off the floor! Can't wait for this stage to be done!!
  • This boy is so fast with crawling! Still hasn't attempted walking but he can cruise!
  • His teeth has taken forever to pop through but when they do it all seems to come all at once!
  • He Loves food! He eats so fast that it is hard to feed him fast enough before he gets upset!
  • Jackson is very talented with making different sounds with his tongue. But it is very difficult to get him to do things on your command...It has to be his idea.
  • Still Very smily all the time and still difficult to get him to laugh but when he does it is so cute!
  • He hates being alone! However as long as you are there he is perfectly content on playing on his own!
  • He loves it when you tilt your head to the side and look at him, he will then do the same back!
  • Jackson is very easy going on the go, which we have been on the go A Lot!
  • He has his routine that he will make most days...pulls up the vents, opens my china cupboard doors, goes to kitchen and pulls out bowls, opens tub-wear drawer and pulls a bunch out, then measuring cups drawer, and lastly the bib drawer to pull those out!  Such a busy boy....my little tornado, but at least he is happy!
  • He is just a busy wiggly boy...Church time is the worst! He is like an alligator and I am its prey! haha
  • Unfortunately we have to hold back on making any progress with his feeding schedule! Still on formula probably for the next month or two and he will need to stay on pureed foods for a long while too!

  • Jackson's birthday party
We went on our family trip to Capital Reef during his birthday so we decided to celebrate it when we got back. We had planned on having grandma/ grandpa and Matt/ Kaitlin there to celebrate with us but their family got the stomach flu so we just did our own little celebration. For his cake we had to stick to something super soft, so I made a banana pudding cake...He absolutely loved it! It was fun watching him go to town on it! Grandma and Grandpa sent his gift to him a few weeks later in the mail...a little baby walker! He loves it but so does his older siblings haha!
